I am an software engineer finished engineering under the control of Anna University. I hope that now TNEA admissions are going fine and smooth. Many people got nice colleges and nice courses too. But main problem is many are in the confusing state to select the course, college etc,. So as an engineer i suggest you osme points, take a note of it and make use of it as much as possible.
1.) Select the colleges based on placement.
2.) Select the course based on your interst. Parents please don't compel any thing.
3.) Select the college based on environment, history etc,. Just don't go and join colleges based on nearest location, money etc,.
4.) Take alook at some colleges and make a note of it for future use while counselling.

I really agree with this one. Parents need to mind their own business and not interefere with the courses their children take.
If you do everything your parents want you to do, including what career path you follow, it might lead to unhappiness.
